With 2 judicial review filings in 7 years by Henry Tse (Chair of TEHK), the Hong Kong government finally implemented the new Hong Kong ID card gender amendment policy in April 2024 to comply with the court order made by the Court of Final Appeal in 2023. Following Henry's collection of his new male ID card on 29th April 2024, many transfolks in Hong Kong have also obtained their new IDs under the revised policy.
